UCCS is taking action towards progressing our Strategic Plan. In September, the Office of Strategic Initiatives launched the Strategic Spotlight series, where they released the Action Website, and highlighted several of the programs on the site. The next Strategic Spotlight event is coming up, and it will be a great opportunity to hear from our community. Additionally, a new, small fund to support strategic initiatives will be opening soon.
Action Website
The Action Website is a new dynamic platform designed to highlight ongoing activities at UCCS, and track their progress. At the center of it all is the Strategic Core Pillars, ensuring the UCCS community stay focused on our shared goals and the path ahead. This site is an ongoing project, and is always accepting new initiatives. Reach out to the Office of Strategic Initiatives to learn more. Strategic Spotlight
The Strategic Spotlight series works hand in hand with the Action Website. The next Spotlight is on November 20 from 2-3 p.m. in Berger Hall or via YouTube livestream. This event will center on the first Core Pillar: Sustainable & Strategic Growth. Through a focus on our strategic growth, UCCS aims to strengthen enrollment, expand in-demand academic programs, and strive for affordability for students.
Attend the event to hear remarks from Interim Vice Chancellor of Administration & Finance, Jeff Greene, as well as several initiatives that are building a strong sustainable foundation for UCCS. See initiatives under Pillar 1 on the Action Website.

Strategic Pillars Impact Fund
Furthering our commitment to supporting the UCCS community through a laser focus on the Core Pillars, The Office of Strategic Initiatives is launching the Strategic Pillars Impact Fund.
Opening on October 15th, this small fund is designed to support initiatives, programs, or events at UCCS that directly tie to the Core Pillars of Success 2030.

Funding must be used to start a new program, or to intentionally enhance or improve an ongoing program, and is intended to be used in Spring 2026. Your program must connect to at least one Core Pillar and have clearly defined goals and measurable outcomes. UCCS students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to apply. Applications for the Impact Fund are due by November 26th. Apply to the Strategic Pillars Impact Fund.
