2025 Campus & Workplace Climate Survey launches Oct. 22

As part of UCCS’s ongoing commitment to fostering a Culture of Care, the university is preparing to launch the 2025 Campus & Workplace Climate (CWC) Survey, open from October 22 through November 12, 2025.

The survey, first introduced across the University of Colorado system in 2021, provides a vital opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to share their experiences and perspectives on campus life, workplace culture, and learning environments. The insights gathered will guide efforts to create a campus where every individual feels respected, supported, and valued.

The first CWC survey in 2021 sparked meaningful action across UCCS, driving initiatives that advanced student success, staff and faculty development, and overall wellbeing. Results informed key efforts such as:

  • Enhancing student basic needs support, including the expansion of Clyde’s Cupboard, Fresh Food Fridays, and Mountain Lion Meals.
  • Strengthening mentorship and leadership programs, such as UCCSlead Days of Service, Staff Wellness Breaks, and Project Crest.
  • Expanding wellness and belonging initiatives, including the Wellness Champion program, MOSAIC Scholar Program, and TELUS Health Student Support.
  • Integrating community insights into the university’s 2030 Strategic Plan to ensure UCCS continues to grow in alignment with the lived experiences of its people.

Now, as the 2025 survey opens, UCCS is once again inviting all members of the campus community to take part and help shape the university’s next chapter.

Unique links will be emailed to all students, faculty, and staff on October 22. If you do not receive the email, contact [email protected] for support. The simple survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.

Survey responses are anonymous and secure. Once the survey period closes and incentives are distributed, all identifying information will be removed. Data will be encrypted and handled through Qualtrics, ensuring privacy and compliance with university standards.

The survey is accessible on smartphones and compatible with assistive technology, though completing it on a computer is recommended. If you need access to a computer, there are computers available to UCCS students, staff, and faculty on the second and third floor of the Kraemer Family Library. These are available for use during library operating hours.

After completing the survey, participants can opt in for incentive drawings that include parking and dining passes, as well as gift cards to Clyde’s Gastropub, Big Cat Coffee, the Campus Store, the ENT Center for the Arts, and GOCA.

To thank the campus community for sharing their voices, the Office of Strategic Initiatives will host tabling events throughout the survey period, including:

  • Oct. 27: Cookies and Lemonade, 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., University Center (Big Cat Coffee area)
  • Nov. 3: Donuts and Coffee, 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., Columbine Hall lobby
  • Nov. 11: Warm Drink Bar (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and apple cider), 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., University Center front lobby

Results from the 2025 survey will be shared with the campus community in spring 2026, helping guide future initiatives that promote wellbeing and belonging.
