Last week, UCCS launched the inaugural Strategic Spotlight series. This first event, focused on our Pillars and Purpose, illuminated and celebrated Success 2030, the UCCS Strategic Plan.
The event opened with inspiring remarks from Chancellor Sobanet and Vice Chancellor Robin Parent, who reminded us of the heart and drive of Success 2030 – our shared commitment to student success, innovation, and community. Their words encouraged reflection, engagement, and forward momentum.
Following, Leya Schnitter, Program & Resource Manager in the Office of Strategic Initiatives, led a live tour of the newly launched Strategic Pillars Action Website. This dynamic platform is designed to showcase activities across campus, and track their progress. It serves as a hub of achievements, transparency, and storytelling around the work that drive UCCS forward.
During the event, four initiatives from the Action Website were highlighted, each connected to one of our Core Pillars:
- Pillar 1: Strategic Growth – Strategic Enrollment Plan
- Pillar 2: Research & Creative Works – C3 Innovation
- Pillar 3: Organizational Excellence – 360 Care
- Pillar 4: Culture of Care – Milestones Resilience Care
This event was just the beginning. Throughout fall term, the Office of Strategic Initiatives will continue outreach efforts to collect and publish additional initiatives. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to contribute by submitting their work. Throughout this academic year, we will continue showcasing initiatives at our Strategic Spotlight events. Each event will highlight one of the Core Pillars. Save the dates for:
