The University Leadership Team is dedicated to communicating clearly and often as UCCS works through the Healthy Campus Initiative. Check UCCS News and the Healthy Campus website for regular updates on the work being done.
General Updates
• In January of this year, UCCS began addressing the gap in the FY27 budget. In the April 29 UBAC meeting, leadership affirmed that campus has closed that gap.
• The budget reduction for FY27 is $10.3 million. Vacant positions were eliminated, but all staff and faculty full-time at-will filled positions were preserved and salary reductions were avoided.
• The university will be moving forward with the remaining years of budget reductions and realignments, looking at reductions to programs and operations, but reinvesting for growth as the overall budget position is stabilized.
• This summer, the University Leadership Team will convene to reflect on the FY27 process, collaborate on a process for FY28, and chart next steps.
• The April 29 UBAC recording and slides are available on the UBAC teams channel. Please contact your UBAC representative if you are having issues accessing the channel.
• The final Frequently Asked Questions from the webform, town halls and other meetings have been posted, for a total of 175 FAQs.
• The webform is now closed for the semester. Please work with your UBAC representative or email [email protected] with any budget questions.
• This will be the final budget update for the semester.
