Inspired by Dr. Ann Amicucci’s ENGL 3025 course on Epistolary Writing, this exhibition showcases powerful letter-based storytelling—rooted in personal communication and shaped by our campus community. Drawing from both published and personal examples developed in the class, the letters reflect voices reaching out, connecting experiences and sharing stories that resonate across UCCS. Explore how writers use the intimate form of letters to build connection, preserve memory and document community.

Sex Week 2026: Sex in the Dark

Sex in the Dark is an anonymous, judgment-free Q&A panel with local sexperts from the Health Department, a licensed sex therapist and Wellness Center staff. The lights will go down (so your questions stay anonymous), the glow gear will come out and curiosity can shine without anyone being put on the spot. Ask freely, learn boldly and enjoy the glow.

Join us as we learn from Ethics Fellow Jennifer Jensen, Teaching Professor of Philosophy in the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, on “Skills for Productive Disagreement about Ethics.” One of the key principles in the UCCS Ethics Initiative is respect—honoring the rights, freedoms, views and property of others. In our divided society, the practice of this ethical principle is increasingly rare. In this roundtable discussion, learn methods for teaching and practicing respect in our classrooms. Hope is that these practices will lead to more productive disagreements about controversial topics.

UCCS CyberHunt: MITRE & CyberFox Team Hack4Good Exercise

The MITRE and CyberFox teams are partnering with UCCS to host a unique two-session event dedicated to “hacking the process” of anti-trafficking efforts. Participants will work alongside industry mentors to improve the OSINT tools and safeguards used to combat human trafficking criminals over a two-week project. Kai Gaynor is a Colorado Springs-based visual artist focused on creating arts-based events that celebrate culture, connection and inclusivity. Drawing on her groundbreaking multi-media project, Transcendent Femme, Gaynor will discuss the challenges, triumphs and future of BIPOC and queer creative expression in Colorado.
House of GOGA: Stardust
Thursday, Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. | Ent Center for the Arts
Experience the intersection of cosmic art and avant-garde fashion at House of GOCA: STARDUST, an immersive runway show at the Shockley-Zalabak Theater inspired by artist Nina Elder. This high-energy event features bold wearable art from ten featured designers, followed by an all-access dance party to keep the celebration going. Various ticket tiers are available, including VIP on-stage seating, with special discounts for UCCS students and groups of ten or more through the Ent Center Box Office.
