Cafe Scientifique
Tuesday, Sept. 23 from 4:30 – 6 p.m. | Clyde’s Gastropub

What does it mean to foster a “culture of care” in higher education? How do we reorient our practices to recognize both the systems and structures of institutions and the individuals within them? Using findings from an LAS Dean’s Scholar Award and an NSF-funded project, this Cafe Scientifique introduces an online certification program, “The Ethos of Care Credential for Transformational Change,” we created to formalize training in care ethics.

Steep Into Wellness during our Herbal Tea Bag Workshop at the UCCS Farm! We’re brewing up something soothing and special—custom herbal tea bags! Using herbs and plants grown right here at the UCCS Farm, we’ll explore how different blends can support everything from relaxation and digestion to immunity and skin health. Then, you’ll get to mix your own personalized tea bags to take home and enjoy. As always, we’ll keep you fueled with snacks and drinks during the educational portion, so come sip, learn and steep yourself in the power of plants!

Affirming the Spectrum: Bi+ Bash

Paddleboarding and Kayaking at Catamount Reservoir
Saturday, Sept. 27 from 12 – 1 p.m. | Upper Lodge

Join us for fun in the sun! We will head out and enjoy a paddle in a local reservoir, jump in the water and attempt some nautical yoga! Difficulty is easy. Participants must be able to swim! Includes SUP, life jacket, paddle, entrance fee and transportation.
