UCCS will collaborate with NASA through the NASA Technology Transfer University (T2U) program for the 2026-27 academic year.
The team up will connect UCCS students with NASA technologies and innovation challenges through experiential learning. Through the T2U program, students work with NASA patented technologies to explore business development, market analysis and technology maturation concepts while gaining exposure to applied innovation.
“These connections create a unique opportunity for UCCS students to engage directly with real-world innovation challenges connected to NASA technologies and commercialization pathways,” shared Seth Porter, Dean of the Kraemer Family Library and Chief Innovation Officer. “It aligns closely with C3 Innovation and KFL’s focus on curiosity, creativity and community impact while helping students build practical skills at the intersection of research, innovation and applied learning.”
The relationship represents another step forward in the KFL C3 Innovation’s mission to create interdisciplinary opportunities that connect students, research and community impact through creativity and collaboration.
“The T2U program offers startup or research licensing opportunities for individual students or teams pursuing commercial products or services,” representatives from NASA’s Johnson Space Center Technology Transfer Office shared in a recent letter of support for the upcoming academic cycle. “We are looking forward to this exciting venture with UCCS and its talented students.”
Additional details about student participation opportunities and related programming will be announced during the upcoming academic year.
