Healthy Campus: First town hall recording added, resources available

The University Leadership Team is dedicated to communicating clearly and often as UCCS works through the Healthy Campus Initiative. Check UCCS News and the Healthy Campus website for regular updates on the work being done.

General Updates

The report from the Efficiency and Effectiveness survey is now live on the Healthy Campus website. The report synthesizes qualitative feedback gathered from faculty, staff, and students through the survey, which aimed to collect campus perspective on ways UCCS could creatively consolidate resources, reduce costs, and identify new revenue streams. The findings and suggestions provided in the survey may inform strategic decision-making as UCCS advances work under the Healthy Campus Initiative.

• The recording of the opening statements of the first Town Hall and the written recap have been added to the resource library.

• Two more campus open forums will be held in the coming weeks:

Tuesday, March 17 from 9-10 a.m. in Berger Hall or via Zoom
Wednesday, April 1 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. in Berger Hall or via Zoom

Based on the feedback shared during the last Town Hall, the coming March 17 Town Hall will be dedicated entirely to open Q&A. The full hour will focus on questions, dialogue, and discussion rather than formal presentations. Members of campus leadership will be present to listen and respond, but there will be no prepared remarks or presentations from the Senior Leadership Team during this session.

• The Frequently Asked Question section of the Healthy Campus Initiative website will be updated with new questions by the end of the week. The feedback webform remains open and the FAQ will continue to be updated weekly.

• During times of stress or uncertainty, it’s normal to feel overwhelmed. UCCS offers several no‑cost support options through the Lyda Hill Institute for Human Resilience to help employees strengthen resilience and find connection.
