Bee Painting and Movie Night

Join the Beekeeping Club for a fun and relaxing evening of art and laughter! We’ll be painting bee-themed masterpieces—no experience needed, just bring your creativity. We’ll also be screening the classic Bee Movie together. It’s the perfect mix of crafting, community, bee-loving fun and memes. All painting supplies and snacks will be provided—just bring your imagination and bee enthusiasm!

Puzzle Swap

Cleaning out your closets for the holidays? Bring your unwanted puzzles to the library’s puzzle swap! Drop off puzzles at a designated location in the library and grab new puzzles while you’re there. You do not need to donate a puzzle to participate. Limit of five puzzles per person. Un-swapped puzzles will be added to the library’s de-stress table or donated to local community organizations.

Opioid Overdose Response and Narcan Training
Tuesday, Dec. 9 from 1 – 3 p.m. | University Center

Join us for a tabling event on the dangers of opioid overdose and the role fentanyl plays. Those that stop by will be trained on how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose and have access to a free naloxone (Narcan) kit and fentanyl testing strips.

Holiday-Themed Finals Study Day

Come prepare for finals in a quiet and relaxing environment at the Heller Center! Enjoy complimentary hot cocoa, apple cider and holiday-themed snacks while you study. This event offers a cozy space to focus, unwind and get ready for finals. A movie screening around 6 p.m. is currently being planned — more details will be shared soon!

KFL 4th Digital Curation Exhibition: You and Beyond Closing Event
Thursday, Dec. 11 from 5 – 7 p.m. | Kraemer Family Library

Join us in the Kraemer Family Library, second floor apse, as we close out our digital curation exhibit, You and Beyond, with a talk by UCCS Professor Sue Howell, Ph.D. Dr. Howell will invite us to think about what we learn about ourselves through the lens of her primatology work. Discussing her research interests and how she sees herself reflected in them, Dr. Howell will connect us to the world of primates.

Keep Calm and Herb On: Herbal Stress Relief

Feeling stressed? Take a deep breath and join us for the next event in our herbal workshop series—this one’s all about relaxation and emotional wellness. Using soothing herbs grown right here at the UCCS Farm, you’ll create your own aromatic oil roller designed to help clear the mind, uplift the spirit, or melt away stress—your choice! We’ll dive into the calming properties of each herb, then craft our blends. As always, we’ll enjoy a snack and refreshments during the educational portion. Leave feeling grounded, empowered and smelling amazing!

Winter Clothing Drive: Final Day to Donate!
Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 12 | UCCS

Join the UCCS Office of Sustainability in supporting unhoused youth through our Winter Clothing Donation Drive! We’re collecting: all adult sizes S–XXL, new or gently used coats, gloves, socks and boxers (must be new for health and safety reasons), handwarmers and more. These essential items help keep local youth warm and safe during the cold season. All donations will go directly to The PLACE, a nonprofit serving young people in our community. Drop off in La Plata House, Monarch House, the Office of Sustainability and the University Center.

Mountain Lion Research Day

Join the Office of Research for the 17th annual Mountain Lion Research Day! This campus-wide event showcases the outstanding work of undergraduate and graduate students across disciplines. Drop by for student research posters and presentations and free food and prizes.

LGBTQ+ Traveling Office: Winterfest Goodie Bags
