Guest Speaker: The Plantation-Climate-Migration Nexus: Rethinking Displacement through Landscapes of Reproduction

Drawing on ethnographic, survey and remotely sensed data from Sulawesi, Indonesia, Lisa Kelley, Ph.D., will demonstrate how attention to landscapes of reproduction enriches our understanding of plantation, flooding and migration extremes. Findings go beyond narratives of crisis and loss to highlight the dynamics of repair, adaptation and collective agency shaping how such extremes are lived and made.

Intersectional Legacies: Gender Outside the Binary in BIPOC Communities

Join MOSAIC in collaboration with QTPOC and Ilaheva Tua’One, Ph.D., in a roundtable discussion about non-binary genders, such as nonbinary and intersex and how gender presents outside of a Eurocentric lens, in BIPOC communities. Come discuss how the Eurocentric gender binary affects BIPOC communities and how it affects gender expression in those communities.
Mountain Lion Powerlifting Meet

The event is held in the UCCS Recreation and Wellness Center and is an amateur meet. The event will take place on the platforms located on the south side of the building on the second floor. Participants will be judged on 3 different power lifts to include: Squat, Bench Press and Deadlift. Each participant will have a total of 3 attempts to lift their maximum weight, with the 3rd lift being their final weight.

UCCSlead Game Changer is a half-day transformational leadership experience open to all UCCS-affiliated undergraduate and graduate students no matter their discipline or classification. Chamber Music Ensemble Presents: Songs of the Yggdrasil

Five intrepid students from across the university have selected and arranged pieces that invoke the cosmos, the world tree and other mysteries to present a concert that mixes vocals, piano, percussion, synth and accordion to create a unique musical journey. Through the coaching of Michael DiBarry, D.M.A., this quintet has learned to perform with each simultaneously on a different part and without any conductor for this one-night-only concert. UCCS Visiting Author Series: Jonathan Case

The UCCS Visiting Author Series and Pikes Peak Library District’s All Pikes Peak Reads proudly present cartoonist Jonathan Case as part of its Fall 2025 line-up. The event is free and open to the public. The evening will include a reading, followed by a Q&A session and book signing. Copies of the author’s work will be available for purchase.
