UCCS and the Pikes Peak Military Affairs Council invite the UCCS campus and the Colorado Springs community to attend a co-hosted 9/11 Commemoration Ceremony. Those who wish to participate are directed to meet at the flagpole in front of Gateway Hall at 9 a.m. on September 11th for the lowering of the flag.
Afterward, the group will walk together to the 9/11 Memorial in front of the Engineering Building for a moment of silence and remarks from members of the campus and community.
“It’s important that we take time to honor the lives lost on that day and reflect on the impact to our community,” said Crista Hill, Director of Veteran and Military Affairs. “We invite everyone to join us at the remembrance event to share stories, add a flag to the wreath, or simply stand together in solidarity.”
Campus members do not need to register. All are welcome and encouraged to attend!
