To: Ann Schwab
From: Communication Department

Working with Ann these past several years has always been a joy to our staff. This says a lot, given the nature of what we’re needing help with; from last-minute schedule changes, course modifications, or even sharing her institutional knowledge and guidance. Ann is one of the most kind and gracious staff members in every case we have to interact with her. Our immense thanks to her on being such a wonderful colleague and model of UCCS character and leadership.

To: Patrick McClellan
From: Michael Plant

I have worked with Patrick the entire time I have been at UCCS, over the past 2 years Patrick has consistently exceeded expectations in every capacity of his job. Whether it is staying late due to a pop-up party in Clyde’s or rushing over to the residential dining halls to help out when they are shorthanded, Patrick is always eager and available to help wherever needed. In addition to being a stellar employee Patrick take time to mentor and train our large student employee pool. He has an open and approachable mentality to his everyday duty regardless of what obstacles present themselves during the day. Patrick is always an upbeat and positive force in my kitchen and never fails to add a little levity to even the most stressful situations. As a manager I will say having Patrick as part of my team has made my job not only manageable but enjoyable as well. I truly enjoy working with and mentoring Patrick and UCCS is very fortunate to have him on campus.

To: Paul Deniston

Paul Deniston is a fantastic boss and employee. He always goes out of his way to be friendly and helpful to everyone on campus and especially in the Campus Store. As the director of the Campus Store, he deals with a lot of issues, good, bad, expected and many unexpected. It takes a lot of tact, responsibility and resourcefulness.

Thank you to everyone who assisted with the COB Career Networking Night! Whether you helped set-up, tear down, work the check-in table, came to help put your students at ease, or promoted it in your classes, it takes the participation of many to make an event like this a success for our students and employers. Without all of you it would not be possible!
