After winning Best Film in Denver’s 48 Hour Film Project and being selected at Filmapalooza, the film is now set to screen at the Short Film Corner at Cannes.

Cybersecurity

UCCS Cybersecurity student and U.S. Army Military Veteran Yurena Burgess, who is pursuing her Bachelor of Innovation in Information Security, along with Gretchen Bliss, Dir. Of Cybersecurity Programs Office, have been making the rounds in the media. Both have been interviewed recently by prominent publications, which has resulted in some good press for UCCS and our focus on keeping the nation safe through better cybersecurity education. Check out the articles in Forbes and CSO Magazine.

Research

Profs Bozhko and Iacocca published a paper in Physical Review Applied:
 https://journals.aps.org/prapplied/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevApplied.23.044010

What makes this special is that this work is the result of an investigation that started as a broader impact section in NSF and then involved an undergraduate student (Lawrence Scafuri) and a graduate student (Renju Peroor). The publication received editors’ suggestion recognition, meaning that it is showcased on the journal’s home page
