  • Join us for a scavenger hunt to find the lucky rock! Updates and instructions will be posted to the Student Life Instagram (@uccs_students). Clues will be posted daily until the rock is found!

Trans Day of Visibility and Joy
Monday, March 31 from 6 – 8 p.m. | MOSAIC Lounge (UC 110)

  • In collaboration between MOSAIC, Queer Student Alliance, and Student Life & Leadership, stop by the MOSAIC lounge anytime to pick up some self care items, buttons, and flags in recognizing trans visibility and joy. We will have guests from the LGBTQ+ Oral History Project coming to talk about their stories and will end the evening with celebration and space for trans joy. Food to be provided.

JEDI Speaker Series “From Misunderstanding to New Meanings: The Potential of Hybrid Identities”

  • The second JEDI Speaker Series hosted by the Philosophy Department is coming up, and our guest speaker will be Dr. Rosana Trivino-Caballero, from Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. In this talk, Dr. Trivino-Caballero will discuss: What happens when people move—geographically, socially, culturally—to find themselves unheard, misrecognized, or mistrusted? Award Winning Film “Eat Your Catfish” – Film Screening and Conversation with Director

  • UCCS will be hosting a dual screening and director conversation of the Award Winning Documentary “Eat your Catfish.” Through Kathryn’s own narration, we enter the inner world of a severely disabled woman and mother facing her own mortality. We wanted to break from earlier documentaries on these themes by telling a true story, without contrived heroics, of the brutality of the daily challenges—both practical and emotional—of in-home care for a disabled and terminally ill person. Learn more about the film, director and event here.
